Memories of games Vs SOUTHAMPTON...
Paulo FUTRE destroying the fuck out of them in 96/97... Benali giving a penalty away and getting sent-off... How shit was he?... Won 2-1 after being 1-0 down... Should've been about 6-1...

Ken MONKOU last-gasp own-goal in a 3-3 draw at our place in 93/94... Last game before the BM stand was built... Southampton somehow stayed-up again... They always used to beat the drop on the final day...

YOU CUNTS?...

An early season game in the early 1980's, possibly 1982. We won 4 - 2 at Upton Park. One of the best games I've ever seen.

October 2nd 1997 my fiftieth birthday away at St Marys lost 3-1 stayed in the same hotel as West Ham. A young Ferdinand had just got a drink driving charge and really got stick that day from the home crowd. Kevin Davis had good game for them we were poor that day

I think it was the last game of the North Bank, as I am sure I watched the 3-3 in the BM.

As been mentioned the 4-2 midweek game with Goddard getting a hat trick and Keegan was unbelievable that night, best game I've EVER seen by a mile,if some of you could see that game you would be as disalussioned as I am with modern football. Keegan one of the worlds best players playing for Southampton!

First game against them was a Good Friday morning kick-off in '74, we won 4-1, had a scuffle with a few Southampton supporters on the tube after the game , we were on the way to Battersea, then threw up after my second go on the Rotor at the funfair.

I still remember a midweek evening game at the Dell 4-2 to the Hammers I think Paul Goddard got a hat-rrick [sic]- I could be wrong - but he certainly scored a couple of times.

Absolutely yes !!! Classic game..
Though it was actually at UP, HMP.. I was there also.. aged 15ish with my 1st ST.. about 1982/3.. Sarge got a hat trick [ overhead kick was the 3rd goal ] and Phil Parkes pulled off a wonder save to deny Kevin Keegan.. Wonderful times under the old lights.. I think we were near top of the league til after xmas [ cue the decoration gags ]

Back in 75 we won 2-0 in the cup at the Dell on way to the Alan Taylor show .
We took the place over & afterwards we were celebrating at Scummers central with the team sat there inside the train & us all along the platform making a right racket .

The 3-3 draw I remember the dimantlisation of the NB and teh Chicken Run... bumped into two blokes walking down Barking Road After who were carrying a claret and blue crash barrier from the NB... asked the bloke where the fuck he was going to put it and he said he had a nice space waiting in his back garden!! Looked an absolute sight...

There was a game on Match Of The Day back in the 70s. I'm pretty sure West Ham threw away a 3 goal lead at the. Dell.
Terry Paine was still playing. It seemed to get shown on whatever Football Focus was called in those days.

Jamies Beattie scoring in the last min at UP in 2002, we lost 0-1

for some reason that drab mid week game i remember well and each time we go into the last few mins of games at 0-0 it comes to mind

Took my younger brother to his 1st game, we stood in the cage in the north bank and we won 5-3. Must have been 1973-74.

He supported Arsenal ever since

Losing 3 - 0 at the Dell.
Taking the kids to their first league football match at the Dell, and losing.
Sitting with some mates (Saints supporters) at the Dell among the home fans. And losing.
Watching from the Archers Road end in the cage. George Paris was playing. I think we drew that one.

Mt first ever Hammers match was away at the Dell around 1969. 1-1 With a Trevor Brooking header!!! and a Terry Paine equaliser.

Gary Charles scoring an OG at the Dell in about 1999 or 2000. I seem to remember Sinclair scored the opener for us but I think we lost but can't recall it clearly.
